Pedestals

The problem with pedestals is that people start to look down on you..and eventually, invariably they fall off them. And I've put far too many people on pedestals all my life.

    1. True, But I trust easily and end up idolizing people. A bad pattern.

  2. Interesting one...love its poetic flow too..."the faith is the license to deceit"....as Saibal wrote...more it comes from whom we idolize...yet, it is also better to get hurt in holding faith than committing the sin of having mistrust on its face value...regards

    1. Thank you Lopamudra :) Yes it's better to keep your faith..but when you are let down far too often, it creates self doubts and we sometimes go on guilt trips that were never ours in the first place..
      Regards, and stay safe :)

  3. The life secures truth in approximation...so long truth secures life in prospect...it leaves us in dilemna indeed, but such is the grand trial life has to undergo to seek for the ultimate truth....no escape for who retains purity in its pursuit...respecting or loving or caring is reflection of such virtues....betraying lack of it is too reflection of the vices that try distract...life has to decide if it is a fall from the pedestal or a rise above it...best wishes for sharing such an intense feelings so poetically...
