The city hums and buzzes
As the night descends
Sounds of traffic and sirens
Seemingly never-end
But beyond the chaos
Lies a symphony of sounds
The rustling of the trees
Wind’s whispers through the town
The soft coos of pigeons
As they nestle in for the night
The distant melody of jazz
And the soft hum of city lights
The rustling of footsteps
As people make their way home
The low tones of conversation
As they unwind and roam
The clanging of streetcars
That shuffle down the street
The gentle creek of crickets
As they soothe one to sleep
In the midst of the city
There's a melody that plays
A song of bustling city life
That lulls us into peaceful daze
So let us pause and listen
To the sounds of city nights
For in its hustle and bustle
There's a symphony of life
