They demand her silence
And overrule her opinions..
They expect her to be timid
And dominate over her..
They take her humbleness
As an approval to their demands..
They extinguish her personality
And shatter her self confidence
They build and live their dreams
While she sacrifices all of hers
And all this while they praise her
For being selfless and self effacing..
While she sits alone and wonders
If one can be so self effacing
That one totally destroys
One’s true “self”
Silently
And “selflessly”…
